Flora and Fauna

Life is full of Beauty
try to notice it

La Tuque is located in the middle of nature, on a wooded slope in the Lot valley. A paradise of great biodiversity where the flora and fauna are unfenced. In spring, dozens of varieties of orchids and other wild flowers bloom. Autumn offers a gold mine of various species of mushrooms. Deer walk across the terrace and through our garden because it is also their habitat. In Autumn and Winter, this area is ideal for wild boar who come to root for acorns, beech nuts and chestnuts. Squirrels, various types of mice, crickets and grasshoppers, fire salamanders, flying deer to name a few, are regular guests of this area. Less frequently, you will see foxes, badgers, martens and weasels, but they are also part of the Lot's fauna. The area is teeming with birds of prey, such as buzzards, falcons, sparrow hawks and owls.
