La vie est faite de petits bonheurs
La Tuque has a really good on-site restaurant and a stylish lounge terrace. From June the 10th onwards, our restaurant is open from 9 am till 11pm, 7 days a week. Enjoy a morning cappuccino or a tasty lunch – delicious club sandwich and paninis are on offer every day. As an appetizer with your apéritif we recommend our popular tapas selection, or maybe Amsterdam croquettes with a glass of draft Hoegaarden white beer. For dinner we offer daily specials or you can choose from the à la carte menu. There is free wi-fi in the restaurant.
French fries, Dutch snacks and homemade pizzas can be ordered to take away.
We specialise in French regional and Mediterranean dishes. Everything is home-made and our chef uses honest-to-goodness local produce in season whenever possible. We also offer a variety of dishes especially for children, and for vegetarians we have a number of surprising and delicious options. If you have special dietary needs, just inform our chef beforehand. At La Tuque we obviously serve the famous wines of Cahors.
Last but not least: you have to experience the magnificent sunset from our terrace. We can’t make it any more romantic than that.
Since you are spending your holiday in a wine region par excellence, you cannot miss out on a wine tasting. Every week we have a free wine excursion to Domaine La Vigne Rouge, our neighbours. They will proudly tell you about the Vin Noir and will be happy to let you taste and compare the Cahors wines (Malbec).
And every Thursday it’s BBQ Night*, when we all eat together at long tables. There is always an option for vegetarians.
*At your pitch, you can only barbecue on gas. We do not allow open fires during the summer.
During high season a local bakery delivers fresh bread daily to the campsite: not only the usual French baguettes, but also a selection of organic and cereal breads. During mid and low seasons we get bread in for you, again freshly made at a local bakery.
Simple, everyday groceries like butter, milk, cheese, eggs and wine can be found in our shop on site. Prayssac is the nearest town (about a 15-minute drive) where everything you could possibly need is available. Every Friday there is a lively market, one of the best in the region.
